Colossians 1:19-22 “For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and through him God reconciled everything to himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth  by means of Christ’s blood on the cross. This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.”

Did you get that? You were once far from God but now are reconciled or now have good relations with God. He has brought you into His presence and you stand before Him holy and without fault.

That, my friend is the true and glorious truth about Easter. Through the blood sacrifice of Jesus, this was accomplished. Your life simply should not be seen the same.

If you were born again, you are now free from all guilt and condemnation. That doesn’t mean you don’t have work to do with others, to show them that you are different, but before God, just let it go. The new you is seen, by God, without fault.

Stop thinking God is mad at you. Jesus proved He is not. Hebrews 8:12 assures us He doesn’t remember our sins, any more.

Stop saying you are an addict. You can say “I was an addict but now I am an overcomer, a new person because Jesus made things right on the cross.” Changing your words, changes your mind. Changing your mind, changes your actions. Changing your actions changes your life.

Focus on God’s truth and you will live in His truth: you have been delivered from addiction and have overcome it. Now do what you need to do to walk in that. Be free, my friend! Be free!
