Grace to you!

Welcome to all the new bible recipients! We think of you daily and wonder how you are getting along. We hope you are benefiting from God’s word and it is becoming a source of strength and encouragement.

Are you feeling optimistic about your future or are you struggling with your past? Perhaps, you feel immense guilt for things you have done. That is what we call, “sin consciousness,” and it is one of the weapons used against your journey in recovery.

The devil is a liar and the accuser of the believer and he wants nothing more than for you to get stuck in your past because he knows that if he can keep you stuck in the dirty mud of your past, you won’t live the future He planned for you.

May I encourage you with this: God doesn’t remember your past! “For I will forgive their wrongdoing, and I will never again remember their sins.” Hebrews 8:12 (CSB)

If you are a believer, all your sins, past, present and future are already forgiven. “He does not punish us for all our sins; he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve. For his unfailing love toward those who fear him is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth. He has removed our sins as far from usas  the east is from the west.” Proverbs 103:10-12 (NLT) That it is what God says about it. So if God doesn’t remember them, you can let them go, too.

As a believer, you are a child of God, in right standing with Him. He is not mad at you nor view you with anger or contempt. His desire is not that you wallow around in what you did but that you repent, go the other way, His way, and live the life He died for you to have. Don’t carry around stuff Jesus died to deliver you from. Believe that you are in now good in His sight. Thank Jesus, for His sacrifice and redeeming work, for us. He did it all for you!

Say this prayer to receive revelation of righteousness, and allow Him to shine a light on the inside of you and make God’s righteousness—or right-standing with God—come alive in you.

Father, I see in Your Word that I have been made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. You have provided certain rights for me. I receive them now in Jesus’ Name, and I thank You for them. As a new creation in Christ Jesus, I accept the gift of righteousness and all that gift includes: health, prosperity, peace, joy and abundant life. I put aside every weight and the sin that so easily trips me up. I now look to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of my faith.

Your Word also says that You are faithful and just to forgive me of my sins when I confess them, so I take this opportunity to confess any sin and get it out of my life, in order to maintain my complete fellowship with You. I receive Your forgiveness now in the Name of Jesus. I may not feel righteous—I may not feel forgiven—but Your Word says it, so it must be true. Satan, I now put on the breastplate of righteousness and come against you with the sword of the Spirit.
