The year 2020 used to sound so far away, but it is one calendar page away. The year’s number signifies clear vision.  What do you see in your future? Are you filled with hope or just an apathetic resolution that tomorrow will be the same as today?

“One of the most important things in a person’s life is what they believe about their future.”
Abraham was given a promise from the LORD. “I will make you a blessing… and in you all the families on the earth shall be blessed.” (Deut. 12:2-3)

The Good News of Christmas is that Jesus died so that the blessing of Abraham can be yours, too! (Gal 3:13-14)

What does blessed look like? In a nutshell: you will be God’s child, forever, and have everything you need for life and godliness. You will be successful, healthy and prosperous. You will have enough that you will be able to look into the eyes of one in need and fill that need as if it were your own.  You will have what you need to do God’s work and live a life holy, unto the LORD.

“Jesus is the Prince of Peace. Peace means nothing missing, nothing broken; whole.”

Jesus became a curse for us so that the blessing could be ours. Sadly, many believers are living in the curse because they do not know that Jesus set them free from it.

The fact that Jesus came to set us free is the most powerful message of the entire Bible. Yet, many people live with the curse that Jesus died to free us from.

Read Deut 28:15-68. It tells us about the curse. Do you see any of the curse, in your life? Are you accepting things that Jesus died to free you from? If so, the good news is all believers are free!

How does one be free of the curse and enter into The Blessing? The first step is to become part of the family of God. The Word says that anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Believe and confess that the Lord Jesus died and was raised from the dead, you will be born again. (Acts 2:21, Romans 10:9)

Simply say, “Father God, I take you at your word, and I believe that Jesus is Lord, that he died for me and rose again. I thank you for coming into my heart and for giving me the Holy Spirit, just as you promised and for being Lord over my life.” You are now a child of God. (1 John 3:2)

The next step is knowledge because we can’t believe and have faith in something we do not know.  It saddens me that so many Believers are not taught about the full gospel message. They accept the curse as a badge of honor, as if to suffer is Godly. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Now, don’t get me wrong, trials and tribulations visit, but we don’t have to let them set up house! When something that is outside the blessing shows up, you have the right to respond with the Word, believe and live in faith that The Blessing is yours. You don’t have to wait to be get blessed, Jesus did it at the cross. You ARE blessed! But you have to know it, believe it and then receive it. That takes faith. Faith comes from the Word. Read Deut. 28:1-14, every day.

The vision you have for your future is up to you. Never again profess failure or doom. Start agreeing with what God says about your life. Say what He says about it, which in His word.  We are promised if we say the Word, He will do it! The perfect prayer is praying His Word right back to Him! (Deut. 30:14, Isaiah 55:11)

In this brand new year of 2020, see yourself prospering: your body healthy, your relationships in harmony, your pantry full, your bank account ready for any emergency, with extra to give to others. See yourself as a child of the Almighty God, who loved you so much that He gave His only son so that you would live with Him from now through all eternity. He died to set you free to love and serve Him. His plan for your life is bigger and better than you can even imagine.

For this new year, we pray 2020 brings you blessings beyond measure. We pray peace for your and your whole family. May you come to know the One who loves you, more each day.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,

Dan, Linda and the entire G2you Ministries Team
